This summer, the Adirondack Center for Writing will host a community writing project, where Adirondack writers build a story (or many stories) over a month or two. Click the “comments” tab below to see how this blog works!
How to join the story:
Each ‘post’ will be the beginning of a new prompt, challenge, or task.
Below every post, you should see the option to ‘Leave a Reply.’
We’d prefer that you comment using a wordpress account (otherwise every new installment shows up as written by “anonymous,’ and we lose some of the community feel. If your comment is too raunchy to have your name above it, you might think twice about posting, anyway).
To make yourself a wordpress account:
Click the “Log in’ tab on the right under the ‘Meta’ header –>
If you already have an account, sign in. If you don’t, click ‘register’ and follow the instructions.
If you’d like your own blog, choose the ‘create new blog’ option. If you just want to comment on our blog, you’re okay with just a username.
Open the confirmation email, click the link and you’re golden.
Now, when you visit the Adirondack Summer Shorts blog, you can comment with conviction and we’ll all know who you are.
Now, subsequent comments cascade down, perfect for a storytelling format.
I signed up for the wordpress account but can’t seem to find the posts on “and then what happened?” Where can I read and contribute to that?
Thx. Mira
